About Me

I am the proud mother of two beautiful children, a son and a daughter, who inspired my path into photography. Motherhood is the greatest gift, filled with many wonderful moments, experiences and love.

Alongside our love and our joy, our family has also experienced unimaginable deep loss. Our son was only 3.5 months old when we entered a journey that no parent ever imagines. With our second son being diagnosed with Brain Cancer we were throw into a whirlwind of hospitals, specialists, surgeries, PICU, all forced into our lives, an experience that taught us about the fragility of life, mortality, love, deepest sadness and grief.

Despite all of the medical expertise, our son passed away from brain cancer at just four and a half months old — a heartbreak that has forever changed us. The years that followed required strength, healing, and a reimagining of life. Our experience shaped not only who I am as a person, but the photographer I have become.

I understand, in the deepest sense, how fragile and precious life is. I know the overwhelming love that arrives with a new baby, and I recognise that even in the healthiest of times, the transition into parenthood can feel both beautiful and vulnerable.

Because of this, I approach every session with patience, gentleness, and compassion.

The images I create are designed to become part of your family’s story — heirlooms that live on your walls, in your albums, and in your hearts. They hold a very special place in my clients’ homes, and equally in my heart, because I know just how much they matter.

It would be my honour to capture these early days for you and create memories that your family will treasure for a lifetime.

I would love to welcome you into my studio and preserve this extraordinary chapter of your story. Please reach out — I look forward to creating something truly meaningful together.

Deanna.
